Payment options on Vinylio
Vinylio is the platform for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and Austria aimed at bringing together vinyl collectors, buyers and sellers. Through an online marketplace and auction, Vinylio focuses on bringing music lovers together. Using smart shipping techniques and reliable payment options, we offer a secure marketplace with an ‘equal crossing’ principle.
We use Online Payment Platform as our payment provider. Within Vinylio, we currently offer the following payment methods: iDEAL, Sepa Bank Transfer, Bancontact, PayPal, GiroPay and Direct Bank Payment. We will explain more about each payment method below.
iDEAL
In the Netherlands, iDEAL has been the most popular online payment method for online shoppers in web shops and online stores for years. The online SEPA payment with iDEAL is processed immediately and, unlike credit card payments, is always guaranteed when consumers pay with it in your webshop or online store. In addition, customers can immediately find the debited amount on their statement when they pay with iDEAL as a payment method.
Sepa Bank Transfer
With a SEPA bank transfer, European bank account holders at home and abroad can transfer payments in euros from one IBAN to another IBAN account. It works almost the same as a regular IBAN transaction, only this time you will be asked for an extra code. This is the BIC code; also called the SWIFT code. The BIC code consists of a letter and number combination that refers to the bank you are sending to.
Bancontact
With Bancontact, your Belgian customer can pay directly online via his own trusted banking environment. The payment method is a standard application on payment cards that Belgian banks issue when opening an account. As a result, this Belgian payment method has more than 15 million cardholders, 90% of whom are suitable for online use.
PayPal
With PayPal in your webshop you have worldwide reach, because more than 169 million consumers use this payment method internationally. PayPal enables payments between consumers as well as from consumer to company. A PayPal payment can also be made from the mobile phone or tablet, without leaving credit card or bank details. Anyone can receive payments via PayPal from any customer, you do not need a PayPal account for this. This goes like this:
"If a buyer pays via PayPal, the funds first arrive at the Online Payment Platform, which then pays out the funds to the seller's linked bank account."
Giropay
GiroPay is a payment method that is mainly used in Germany. It is an accessible and guaranteed payment method; transactions are processed directly through the consumer's banking environment. About 75% of German consumers have a Giropay payment card and can therefore easily make a payment with this payment method. Austrian consumers can also use this payment service.
Direct Bank Payment
Possible for Dutch and German customers, choose your bank and pay easily.
